    Quick and Easy Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta

    Lousiana is known for its fresh seafood and some absolutely incredible recipes. Since it is shrimp season here in the South, there is an abundance of them right now, so it is the perfect time to make all your favorite shrimp dishes. One of my favorites is lemon and garlic shrimp pasta. It is perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner and a quick and easy meal that your whole family will love.

    INGREDIENTS:

    • 1 lb. of medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
    • 1 lb of thin or spaghetti noodles
    • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 1/4 cup of salted butter
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • 1/2 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
    • 1/2 cup of lemon juice
    • Salt, to taste
    • Black pepper, to taste
    • Red pepper flakes

    DIRECTIONS:

    • Cook the pasta until tender, then drain.
    • In a large skillet, melt the butter and oil over medium-low heat.
    • Stir in the garlic, and cook until translucent.
    • Add in the shrimp, lemon juice, and seasonings.
    • Cook the shrimp until they are no longer pink.
    • Toss the cooked pasta with all the ingredients, serve and enjoy!
