    Suspect steals copper wire in Tioga County

    Mansfield, Pa. — Someone broke into an electric contractor's work site and stole $500 of copper wire, according to police.

    State police at Mansfield were called on March 18 to a Penelec work site on Route 6 in Delmar Township for the reported theft of copper wire. Police investigated and determined the unknown suspect had broke into a locked container on the site between 4 p.m. March 16 and 7:30 a.m. March 18.

    The suspect took approximately 80 feet of copper wire and other miscellaneous scrap metal.
