Investigations show a 2020 Ford Escape was traveling westbound on Southland Road when the driver failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of State Route 364. The vehicle was struck by a 2019 Toyota Avalon traveling northbound on SR-364.

After the collision, the Ford then struck a fence and a tree. The Toyota struck a fence before hitting a house.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital for their injuries.

OSP says both drivers were wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in the crash.

OSP’s Crash Reconstruction Unit was assisted on the scene by the Ohio Department of Transportation, Saint Marys Township Fire Department, City of Saint Marys EMS, and Auglaize County CERT.
