NYC Comptroller Calls For Protection of Noncitizen Victims of Labor Violations
New York City Comptroller Brad Lander has joined a coalition of labor enforcement agencies and state entities in calling on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to extend the protection period of the Deferred Action for Labor Enforcement (DALE) program for noncitizen victims and witnesses of labor violations. The call urges DHS to move from the current two years of deportation protection to a minimum of four years in order to better support labor rights enforcement efforts.
