38-year-old woman killed when driver of stolen car crashes into her

Milwaukee Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Muskego Avenue that killed a 38-year-old woman.

Two people in a stolen SUV crashed into another vehicle head-on at high speeds around 5:41 a.m. on Monday, August 26, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says.

The driver and passenger of the speeding car fled the crash scene on foot, according to Milwaukee Police. They are still at large.

The engine of the stolen SUV was found 175 feet away from the vehicle, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

The 38-year-old driver of the hit vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died at the hospital.

On Tuesday, the victim was identified as Tai Rosa Perez.
