High-level clouds from Helene's remnants stayed just south of our area Saturday afternoon, giving us a mainly sunny day. Winds have been gusty, out of the northeast, thanks to our position between Helene's remnants and an area of high pressure over the plains.

Choppy conditions will continue on Lake Michigan overnight and into Sunday. A Beach Hazards Statement will be in effect until Sunday evening, with large waves of 4-6 feet and dangerous currents ongoing.

Overnight lows will drop to around 60 by the lakeshore, and into the mid 50s inland, under a clear sky.

On Sunday temperatures will be cooler at the lakefront, only topping out in the lower 70s. Areas farther west will climb into the upper 70s. It will be breezy again with gusts to around 25 mph.

Monday will be warm and sunny. Tuesday a cold front swings through, with only a 10% chance for any rain. The front will bring another round of breezy winds, a few clouds, and a slight cool down, with highs dropping into the 60s. Wednesday morning will feel chilly with some lows in the 40s. But temperatures rebound into the 70s for afternoon highs the rest of the week.
