Typically, schools with more than 300 are 4A; schools with more than 200 but less than 300 are 3A; schools with more than 100 but less than 200 are 2A; and schools with less than 100 are 1A. Single-sex schools like Christ School (all boys), Saint Mary's School (all girls) and Salem Academy (all girls) have their enrollments doubled before being classified.
