    Tampa Bay Rowdies Annual 9/11 Stair Climb

    In a display of physical endurance and solidarity, the Tampa Bay Rowdies conducted their annual 9/11 Stair Climb at Al Lang Stadium. Starting at 8 a.m., participants climbed 110 flights of stairs, symbolizing the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers.

    The event drew a diverse crowd, including first responders, athletes, and community members, all united in their determination to honor the fallen. The climb served as a powerful metaphor for the resilience and strength of the human spirit.

    USF Sarasota-Manatee Memorial Ceremony

    The University of South Florida’s Sarasota-Manatee campus also held a memorial ceremony, featuring retired FDNY battalion chief John “Jack” McDonnell as the keynote speaker. Chief McDonnell shared his harrowing experiences from 9/11 and the days that followed, offering a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by so many.
