King's College seeks $1.4 million grant to improve North Main Street
King’s College officials hope to secure a $1.4 million state grant to help fund a downtown streetscape project along North Main Street in Wilkes-Barre. Wilkes-Barre City Council had a special meeting Tuesday and voted 5-0 to approve a resolution authorizing Mayor George Brown’s administration to submit an application for a Multimodal Transportation Fund grant to the Commonwealth Financing Authority on behalf of the college.

SCRANTON — Two men accused of road rage that led to the March death of a barber from West Scranton waived their preliminary hearings Wednesday.
