Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Manslaughter In Todd County
A Hopkinsville woman was charged with manslaughter on Tuesday after an investigation into an Elkton man’s death last month. Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say they investigated the death of a 21-year-old man who was found to have died on June 18th from a fentanyl overdose, which was confirmed following an autopsy.
NWS Paducah declares Todd County as StormReady
Todd County is officially Storm Ready, and the National Weather Service in Paducah made a visit to Todd County Fiscal Court recently to make the presentation. Warning Coordination Meteorologist Christine Wielgos says a community has to accomplish quite a lot to be designated as Storm Ready, including having more than one way to receive severe weather warnings and alerts, creating a system that monitors weather conditions locally, developing formal hazardous weather plans and more. She says Todd County accomplished all of that and more and she’s proud of the steps that have been taken to protect lives.
Todd County’s Triumph At The KY FFA State Convention
Todd County FFA demonstrated outstanding performance at the Kentucky FFA State Convention held in Lexington. They represented their county and agriculture throughout the week. Emily Frogue, Klarisa Brown, and Charlsie Tigart were awarded the State FFA Degree in recognition of their dedication to their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE). This is the highest award a member can receive within the Kentucky FFA.

Highway 41 Yard Sale is on the horizon
The 13th annual Highway 41 Yard Sale is fast approaching. This year the event will be held June 28-29. The event features hundreds of yard and garage sales set up along the Highway 41 and 41-A corridors through Henderson, Webster, Hopkins, Christian, and Todd counties in western Kentucky.
