Police have arrested a second suspect in a drive-by shooting Feb. 11 in West Toledo that killed a 20-year-old man.

Sean Duhart, 22, of the 3600 block of Willys Parkway, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at his residence and charged with aggravated murder for the death of Michael Bradford-Washington, who was shot several times at Sylvania and Hoiles avenue shortly after 2 p.m.

Witnesses told police the victim was heard arguing with someone, either in person or by cell phone, when a car pulled out from a nearby parking lot and someone inside opened fire. Police marked about 20 shell casings in the street during their investigation.

Mr. Bradford-Washington later died at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.

According to an affidavit Toledo police filed in Toledo Municipal Court, evidence exists that Mr. Duhart “directed another to the victim’s location by electronic means, at which time the victim was shot and killed.”

Catarino Rodriguez, 22, of the 1200 block of Cribb Street, was arrested June 5 in the same case. He was then indicted June 14 for aggravated murder, alternative counts of murder, felonious assault, improper discharge of a firearm, and tampering with evidence.

Jeffrey Crowther, Mr. Rodriguez’ appointed defense lawyer, entered not-guilty pleas on his behalf during arraignment July 10 in Lucas County Common Pleas Court before Judge Stacy Cook, who had previously set bond at $1.4 million. Mr. Rodriguez’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 7.

Also charged in the case is Mercedes Rodriguez, of the 800 block of Utah Street, who was indicted last month for obstructing justice and participating in a criminal gang.
