Yark master technician named Toledo Jeep Fest grand marshal

Yark Jeep’s master technician, Dan Tomanski, will serve as the grand marshal in the upcoming Toledo Jeep Fest’s all-Jeep parade.

Mr. Tomanski graduated from Clay High School’s automotive program in 1995 and has worked as a technician at Yark Automotive Group since 2004. He is part of a growing cohort of students who forgo traditional college education and opt instead for trade programs that offer hands-on training. Yark Automotive promotes such programs to local high school students who may be interested in the automotive industry.

The parade will kick off the festival on Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. Afterward, Mr. Tomanski will be at Glass City Center to answer questions about his career in the automotive tech industry and what current students can do to prepare for a successful future in the field.
