Jamie Farr Park Pool closed for the rest of the season

Mechanical issues have closed the Jamie Farr Park pool for the rest of the season, the city of Toledo announced Tuesday.

“Knowing that this was likely the last year of operation for the current pool facility, the city has already allocated funding and started planning for a new aquatic facility at Jamie Farr Park,” the city said in a written statement.

In the meantime, pool-goers are encouraged to visit other city pools or the Savage Park splash pad. Open city pools are: Roosevelt Pool, 910 Dorr St.; Willys Pool, 1375 Hillcrest Ave.; Navarre Pool, 1001 White St.; Pickford Pool, 3000 Medford Dr.; and Wilson Pool, 3253 Otto St.

City youth aged 6 to 19 can use digital bus passes for convenience. To obtain physical and digital passes, visit TARTA.com/blast .

TARTA representatives will be at Jamie Farr Park from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday to assist with pass applications.
