The city of Toledo’s Division of Urban Beautification will be servicing the Birmingham and Ravine Park neighborhoods as part of Saturday’s the block-by-block neighborhood cleanup.

The program, which started in April, is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every other Saturday in specific neighborhoods across the city. So far this season, crews have collected more than 400 tons of debris and more than 300 discarded tires.

On Saturday, city workers will collect debris, waste, and recyclable materials directly from residents’ curbs, free of charge. Anything not collected on Saturday should be left at the curb for collection on Monday.

Items to be collected include bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, and wood; electronics including small appliances, TVs, and computers; and green waste items such as large branches, debris, and overgrowth.

Household hazardous-waste items will not be collected.

To view the block-by-block schedule, see if your street is in the area, and for a full list of items that will not be collected, go to toledo.oh.gov/block-by-block .
