Liberty-Benton receiver Seth Elchert commits to Toledo's 2026 class

Seth Elchert won’t have to go far for college.

The 2026 Liberty-Benton wide receiver committed to the University of Toledo on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Elchert had offers from Bowling Green, Miami, Marshall, Central Michigan, Akron, and Kent State. Last year, he had 74 receptions for 1,052 yards and 12 touchdowns. During his freshman season, he caught 48 passes for 871 yards.

Elchert, whose twin brother Zach is a running back at Liberty-Benton, was a breakout star at Ohio State’s summer football camp. He has visited Ohio State, Northwestern, Purdue, and Louisville.

Elchert is also a standout baseball and basketball player.
