Texas has thousands of migrants crossing the southern border. Some arrive legally and others illegally.

With migrants who arrive legally, Texas can’t handle them. Since the spring of 2022, Texas Governor Greg Abbott began busing migrants to sanctuary cities. Some cities have started to fight back and are making it harder for migrants to arrive.

Chicago and New York City passed more red tape, and paperwork, for buses carrying migrants to arrive legally.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said according to News Nation Now:

“To be clear, this is not stopping people from coming, but about ensuring the safety of migrants and making sure they can arrive in a coordinated and orderly way.”

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson said in a CNN interview according to the Hill:

“What Governor Abbott is doing is, quite frankly, it’s reckless.”

Governor Abbott’s office said according to News Nation Now:

“The sheer hypocrisy of these democrat mayors knows no bounds. They are now going to extreme lengths to avoid fulfilling their self-declared sanctuary city promises.”

The City of Denver under former Mayor Michael Hancock was facing issues a year ago when migrants started arriving in the City according to Denver 9 News. A year later, it’s not better.

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said according to Denver 7:

"We're looking at about $160 million of potential costs going into next year's budget. That's almost 10% of our entire city budget. That's a massive impact for us.”
“If there is no federal support, there's no coordinate entry, there's no work authorization, then I think cities would have to look at dramatically reducing the amount of services we offered or dramatically cutting our city budgets, which has impacts on other parts of city services.”

The Biden administration is already planning to sue Texas according to CBS News as Governor Abbott signed legislation allowing local police to arrest illegal migrants who enter the State.

Now President Biden has to work with States and their migrant issues.

Do you think the Biden administration will do anything regarding the migrant crisis?
