As migrants cross the southern border in 2024, Texas continues to bus them to migrant cities under Governor Greg Abbott.

According to CBS News, border states saw the most number of migrants this past December according to immigration officials. They recorded over 300,000 migrants which was an all-time high.

Recently Denver, Colorado received 443 migrants from Texas and other locations according to The Colorado Sun.

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has been dealing with migrants since he came into office less than a year ago. According to The Colorado Sun, Mayor Johnston said:

“It’s a huge crisis that we have 300 who are unhoused here. [99% of migrants] have gotten connected to housing, gotten connected to work, and successfully integrated into the city.”

On January 2, Mayor Johnston told City Council the City could spend up to $180 million this year supporting migrants.

Mayor Johnston said according to 9 News:

"That would be a very, very painful conversation about budget options if we had to figure that out."

This past Sunday on Face the Nation, Mayor Johnston was joined by New York city Mayor Eric Adams and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and they criticized Governor Abbott for bussing migrants to their cities

Mayor Johnston said according to The Hill:

“All we want is a system that is humanitarian for both the new folks that are arriving and for our cities and our city employees. And so, we understand there will be an inflow, we have already had 35,000 migrants arrive to Denver, we’ve successfully helped them integrate into the country here.”
“What we don’t want is people arriving at 2:00 in the morning at a city and county building with women and children outside in 10-degree weather and no support.”

Do you think sanctuary cities should continue to accept migrants?

Oh, so since you're so smart. Maybe you can help Texas out with their ILLEGAL INVASION. Which comes 24/7/365. And it happens unannounced at 2am. too.
