25 Governors Rally Behind Abbott in Migrant Crisis

This week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott received support from fellow governors in the migrant crisis as Abbott continues to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the State. This comes after the Supreme Court sided with the Biden administration to allow U. S. Customs and Border Protection to do their job.

Governor Abbott felt Border Patrol was cutting wire to allow illegal immigrants cross the southern border. This caused some pushback from the Biden administration.

After the announcement was made on Monday, The U.S. Supreme Court said

25 governors threw their support to Governor Abbott and the current migrant crisis between President Joe Biden and the U.S. Supreme Court and Governor Greg Abbott.

The governors wrote according to Newsweek:

“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border.”

"We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally.”

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt who supports Governor Abbott said according to The Hill:

“This is a powder keg worth of tension. So, it’s very — it’s a very weird situation. We certainly stand with Texas on the right to defend themselves. But, Biden’s gonna be in a tough situation.”

Then Idaho Governor Brad Little posted on X said:

“The lawless southern border threatens the lives of all Americans, including Idahoans. Idaho is proud to support @GregAbbott_TX’s efforts to secure the border, fight fentanyl, and combat human trafficking.”

“Idaho will continue to step up, even when the @POTUS won’t."
