Governor Greg Abbott was interviewed several times last week, and he shared the progress Texas is making to secure the border. Abbott’s efforts increased when President Joe Biden came into office. Biden ended many of former President Donald Trump’s actions on building the wall.

In addition, during Biden’s administration, the U.S. Supreme Court ended Title 42. Despite Biden’s immigration policies, the number of illegal immigrants crossing the border has not decreased.

The Texas National Guard has laid over 100 miles of wire along the southern border and Governor Abbott said Texas is the only state fighting illegal immigration.

Governor Abbott was on America’s Newsroom and according to a news release said:

“I have to applaud our National Guard for stepping up and laying down that more than 100 miles of razor wire. It is an effective barrier that denies illegal entry. But look, as you all know, the number one issue in the United States and in the presidential race is illegal immigration, and you know that Texas is the only one stepping up doing anything about it.”

You can see the interview Governor Abbott shared on X here:

On April 4, Governor Abbott was with Sean Hannity and said according to a press release:

"Congress had already passed three laws on the books before Joe Biden took office. One that requires the President to deny illegal entry, another to detain anybody who does enter illegally, and three is to build a border barrier. Because President Biden is doing none of those, that's why all of these people are coming in including terrorists, both known and unknown. It's frustrating and astonishing that what Texas is trying to do is enforce those three laws passed by Congress, and because of this, Joe Biden is trying to sue us."

Here is the video clip that Governor Abbott shared on X.

Governor Abbott also shared his Border Czar Mike Banks's post on details on the progress of the base that is built for the National Guard at Eagle Pass, Texas.
