On Sunday night, my family and I decided to watch The Fall Guy. The movie previews look corny but overall the movie was pretty good.

Movie previews usually give you an idea of whether a movie is good or not. I wasn’t impressed with the previews of The Fall Guy. But as a kid, I watched the original Fall Guy television show with Lee Majors and Heather Thomas. Majors makes a small cameo appearance in the movie.

This movie starred Ryan Gosling and British actress Emily Blount. The two had a great performance that went along with a good storyline. Storylines are key in movies these days. If not, then it’s just wasting your time and money.

The movie was set in Sydney, Australia, and was an action flick with doses of humor mixed in.

In the movie, Gosling is a stuntman and has a crush on Blount. Without giving away too much of the movie, Gosling has to figure out where one of the movie stars disappeared and get him back to finish the movie.

Nothing ever happens as planned so Gosling goes through a car chase and a few fight scenes.

Box office numbers were disappointing but overall the movie is worth watching.

Since I took my family, I recommend this PG-13 movie is family-friendly so you can bring your children. There were few curse words and no explicit scenes (nudity).

As for the theater, I watched the movie at my neighborhood Cinemark in its Screen X theater. I have seen the Screen X listing but never sat in one before.

On Screen X, the movie played on the main movie screen. Then part of the movie played on the left and right walls adjacent to the screen. Instead of watching the movie on one screen, you see part of the movie on the adjacent screens.

Screen X looked interesting, but not worth it if you asked me. You pay an extra $4 per person besides the normal movie theater price.

Do you plan to see The Fall Guy in theater or streaming?
