Texas Governor Abbott and Border Patrol Remove 775K Illegal Migrants

Since Title 42 ended last May 2023, Customs and Border Protection has been busy. The agency has removed or returned over 775,000 illegal immigrants.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott continues to utilize resources to remove illegal immigrants since he started Operation Lone Star. From apprehending illegal immigrants to sending migrants to sanctuary cities, Texas continues to help against Biden’s open border policies.

Governor Abbott’s effort led to:

• Over 514,500 illegal immigrant apprehensions
• Over 44,300 criminal arrests
• Over 119,500 migrants bused to sanctuary cities

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has also been busy. In the latest update on immigration for May, the agency has returned or removed 775,000 individuals since Title 42 ended in May 2023. This number is the most since 2010.

Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner Troy A. Miller said according to Customs and Border Protection:

“In close coordination with U.S. and foreign partners, CBP continues to take strong enforcement efforts against transnational criminal organizations at our borders and beyond.“

“Our enforcement efforts are continuing to reduce southwest border encounters. But the fact remains that our immigration system is not resourced for what we are seeing. The dedicated men and women of CBP will continue to prioritize national security and disrupt criminal networks, while maximizing consequences for unlawful entry, including detention, prosecution, and removal under recently announced executive actions to further secure the border.”

Efforts to keep out illegal immigrants continue despite the policies established.
