Thousands still without power after Monday storms
ITHACA, N.Y. — A powerful storm system moved through Tompkins County early Monday evening, knocking power out for over 5,000 people locally. As of Tuesday morning, 4,200 people remained without power. There are more than 300 people without power in each of Newfield, Caroline, Danby, Dryden, Enfield and Ithaca. In total, NYSEG lists more than 40,000 people statewide who are without power.
