Stream project in Annandale nears completion
The project to restore the Coons Branch stream in Annandale Community Park is ahead of schedule. Workers have completed stabilizing the stream banks, says project manager Jasdeep Saini, of the Fairfax County Stormwater Planning Division. However, the fence around the project area won’t be removed and the stream won’t be open to the public until late fall.

Opening day fast approaching for new pizza shop in Purcellville
We can almost taste the pizzas and vino already. The new Knead Wine pizza and wine shop in Purcellville is almost ready to open its doors. Scouts from Troop 652 spend week together at reservation
Thirty Scouts from Troop 652, sponsored by St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in McLean, recently completed a week in the woods at the Rodney Scout Reservation in Maryland. While at camp, seven scouts from the troop advanced in rank. The troop earned a total of 86 merit badges and competed in the camp’s Iron Scout Competition, which included running, canoeing, rock-climbing and archery.
