Legendary punk band announces final album, farewell tour: ‘The end is near’
X, an iconic punk band, appears to be calling it quits after nearly 50 years in the music business. Founding members John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Billy Zoom and D. J. Bonebrake have announced a new album, “Smoke & Fiction,” and they’re calling the Aug. 2 release “the ninth and final album” in social media posts.
No SEC football program will ever catch up with the Alabama Crimson Tide
Preseason optimism abounds across the fanbases of most SEC football programs. Going back to 1934, with the addition of Oklahoma and Texas, the new SEC has ten football programs that have won 49 national championships. A few of those championships are iffy claims; including the Alabama Crimson Tide's from 1941, but there is no debating the SEC's national championship dominance.

Funeral arrangements made for Lawrence County deputy killed in crash
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Funeral arrangements have been made for a Middle Tennessee deputy who tragically lost his life in a crash Wednesday, just before the holiday. Anthony Michael Cutcher, 36, of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg. Cutcher was born in North Carolina, but a Tennessee native since 1995.

Given all that, it’s not much of a surprise that, in some states, you can now walk into a grocery store and buy bullets from a vending machine as if you were ordering a candy bar or a soda.
