Trump Stuns the Nation by Slamming DeSantis

    2023-03-23

Donald Trump fired back at Ron DeSantis after the Florida governor criticized the former president's morals and management style.

Ron DeSantis has not announced his run yet, but many, including Donald Trump, believe he plans to run next year.

"Now that Ron DeSanctimonious is finally admitting he's in the Race by beginning to fight back, and now that his Polls have crashed, so he has no other choice, let me explain the facts," Trump said.

"He is, for a Republican, an average Governor; he got 1.2 million fewer votes in Florida than me," Trump added. "Florida has been successful for many years, long before I put Ron there—It's amazing what Ocean and Sunshine will do!"

Let's remind ourselves that Trump didn't run for Governor of Florida. He probably compared his presidential popular vote and DeSantis' gubernatorial election, which are incomparable.

If Trump ran against DeSantis or anyone else for the governor, then you can make the comparison. Otherwise, it makes zero sense. DeSantis would win Florida without breaking a sweat if he faced a Democratic opponent in the general election.

Trump hurls more insults at DeSantis

Trump comes across as being scared of DeSantis running for president. It seems like he's throwing every insult he can muster at DeSantis to defer the governor from running in 2024.

Trump also attacked DeSantis' record as governor, alleging that he supported lockdowns during the COVID-19 and that Florida's education and crime rates are "among the worst in the country."

Tensions between the two Republicans have been building for several months. But they erupted when DeSantis mentioned a possible indictment of Trump for reportedly paying adult film star Stormy Daniels hush money before the 2016 election.

"I don't know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair — I just, I can't speak to that," DeSantis said while criticizing Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as a "Soros-funded prosecutor" who is "pursuing a political agenda."

DeSantis also explained the differences between him and Trump, stating that he does not tolerate "daily drama" in his office.

Requests for comment on Trump's most recent attack were left unanswered by DeSantis' office.

Do you think DeSantis has what it takes to beat Trump?
