Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is striking back at former president Donald Trump after a relentless mockery of technical issues that plagued DeSantis' big announcement on Twitter Spaces.

DeSantis said Trump "destroyed millions of people's lives" during the Covid-19 pandemic by "turning the country over to Fauci."

After publicly declaring his intention to run as president in 2024, the Florida governor has been ramping up his direct criticism of the Republican frontrunner Trump.

    The GOP games have begun

DeSantis failed to mention the more than 1.1 million Americans who have died due to Covid complications, which undoubtedly would have been much higher if some precautions had not been taken.

Despite DeSantis ' claims that the state's anti-lockdown regulations effectively battle the disease, Florida still had high Covid fatality rates compared to the rest of the country.

Trump also produced an attack commercial slamming DeSantis as an off-brand imitator of his style and policies. The governor of Florida needs to do more to refute this idea. DeSantis stated that he would think about forgiving those charged on January 6.

DeSantis promised to "use the pardon power" to librate the January 6 defendants who, in his opinion, were wrongfully prosecuted by the federal government.

When questioned if that guarantee would apply to Trump, the Florida governor said, "Any example of disfavored treatment based on politics or weaponization would be included in that review, no matter how small or how big."

Trump might need a pardon himself. In New York, the former president is already indicted on 24 counts of felony charges from his 2016 hush-money fiasco with pron actress Stormy Daniels.

The former president is already being prepared by his lawyers for an indictment regarding federal charges from an investigation into the Mar-a-Lago classified documents incident.

What do you think about the war between DeSantis and Trump?
