America in Shock as DeSantis' Super PAC Ambushes Journalist

A super PAC supporting Ron DeSantis attacked a Florida journalist for sharing a picture from a Disney cruise.

It seems like DeSantis wants to turn his failures with Disney into political wins.

Never Back Down accused Florida Politics publisher Peter Schorsch of being "bought and paid for by the groomers and Trump."

Schorsch replied by quoting the PAC on Twitter.

"I get that we're in a Trumpian political environment, but don't let it just go by that this is a 9-figure funded presidential campaign super PAC trolling me for taking my family on a Disney cruise," he said.

A previous communications director for DeSantis, Taryn Fenske, was also mentioned by Schorsch. He claimed she had "too much fun" during her first week at Never Back Down.

Schorsch is a veteran political operative and registered Republican who founded FloridaPolitics.com in 2013. He is likely most known for being the first to report about the Mar-a-Lago raid.

The conflict between DeSantis and Disney started in 2021 and has only worsened since then. The governor used it as a significant talking point in his successful bid for governor in 2022 and to build his national reputation.

Disney, on the other hand, just outwitted him to keep control of a crucial Florida region.

However, DeSantis' positioning as a candidate prepared to take on powerful businesses over fabricated cultural problems has been strong for a while.

Never Back Down will have a significant impact on the GOP primary. Representatives of the organization claimed that by the fall, they hope to have 2,600 field organizers and a $200 million operating budget to support DeSantis' presidential campaign.

The DeSantis campaign said it would present fresh policy ideas the following week.
