DeSantis Reveals Shocking Plot Against Supreme Court Justices

Florida governor Ron DeSantis calls the allegations that Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas accepted undisclosed gifts as "scurrilous attacks."

DeSantis himself faced similar accusations just last week. He knows firsthand what it means not to disclose lavish gifts.

DeSantis is seemingly trying to scare the supporters of the current Supreme Court and convert them into political backers.

    The extravagant gifts

According to DeSantis, reports that Alito and Thomas accepted extravagant gifts from Republican megadonors are an attempt by the left to discredit the court's conservatives.

Recent reportage has centered on those two Justices, raising questions about their objectivity regarding cases before the court.

DeSantis responded to the claims asserting that they lack any objectivity.

"The Left knows they have lost control of the court and don't like it," the Florida governor said.

He followed that by issuing dire warnings to conservatives.

According to DeSantis, these reports are building the framework for an effort to counter Alito and Thomas' viewpoints, perhaps by appointing four more Justices to the Supreme Court.

    Didn't they know the implications?

Both Justices have not objected to the trips. Thomas said that he did not record "personal hospitality" gifts, such as those he accepted for two decades at Crow's invitation, since he did so on the advice of colleagues and others.

Alito claimed he had no idea his host had ties to Supreme Court issues. He said that the inn Alito stayed at 15 years ago was "rustic," and the seat he took on the flight to Alaska was going there with or without him.

In line with his previous campaign addresses, DeSantis avoided taking direct aim at former President Donald Trump, who received more applause at the evangelical convention.
