DeSantis Sends Shocking Emails, Sparks Outrage

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis emailed his supporters with the subject line, "Do not tell my children that men can get pregnant."

DeSantis has leaned into the culture war topics crucial to his campaign, which includes talking about transgender males becoming pregnant.

Less than 1% of the population is openly transgender, even thought transgender issues are a problem.

    The woke warrior

DeSantis also sent more emails citing "woke" than any other contender.

On the other hand, former President Donald Trump, the front-runner for 2024, has traditionally excelled at small-dollar fundraising, but the wording used in fundraising emails also reveals how the other candidates are attempting to stand out online.

One GOP fundraising consultant said the policy concern helps candidates seem "like they're talking to constituents, not just asking donors for money."

Trump heavily fundraised off his June indictment for improperly handling sensitive documents, with over a dozen messages attacking the Justice Department and asserting his innocence.

Rival contenders jumped at the chance to support Trump publicly. But they were reluctant to bring him up in their pleas for donations. Contrarily, the former president often attacks DeSantis in fundraising mailings and labels him "DeSanctimonious." Trump has a full clip of other nicknames for DeSantis, many inappropriate to share.

Poll-trailing candidates were more likely to rely on uplifting or biographical fundraising emails.

While abortion has been a significant source of funding for Democrats, the majority of Republican candidates have made no mention of it in their fundraising pleas.

Other candidates than Trump have generally refrained from making promises that a donation would be matched or amplified by a different contributor; numerous campaigns said they made this vow out of respect for the donors, as matching donations are typically unachievable.

DeSantis has only himself to blame for crashing and burning. Everything he has said and done seems to have been predicated towards alienating anyone and everyone who is not part of the MAGA base and catering to the most extreme and radical ideas in politics today. He cannot out Trump Trump. He really hasn't shown anything at all that even hints he could handle the job of President of the USA, nothing.
