Former President Donald Trump's legal team has been dragging their feet in courts to run out the clocks on lawsuits and avoid prosecution.

The federal judge rejected a request for a deadline extension over the evidence handling in the 2020 election subversion case.

Trump is known to use this method as part of his legal defense. Running out the clock and bleeding prosecutors dry requires incredible amounts of capital that's not available to everyday American or even government agencies. Trump's latest judge is not having any of it.

    The ruling against

US District Judge, Tanya Chutkan's ruling, brings to an end a flurry of action in the case after the team of special counsel Jack Smith requested to swiftly impose restrictions on what the Trump campaign can do with the evidence that will be provided to them.

Their appeal cited a post on Truth Social to support the claim that the former president frequently discusses to the public the specifics of the many judicial actions he is facing.

The special counsel's office stated that the defendant had issued multiple posts, including what seemed to be a threat that read: "IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I'M COMING AFTER YOU!"

Trump's lawyers asked for additional time to consider what constraints might be put in place and hinted that a hearing would be required if an agreement with prosecutors could not be reached.

In contrast, Smith's team encouraged Chutkan to adhere to her initial deadline, claiming that Trump's legal team's motion amounted to "unnecessary delay."

The prosecutors said the defendant is "standing in the way," despite their readiness to work quickly to produce discovery in the case, a crucial stage in kicking off the proceedings.

In the instance of election tampering, Trump's staff has hinted that they would seek to prolong the process.

In the paper's lawsuit, which is being litigated in Florida, Trump's lawyers urged that the trial be postponed until after the 2024 election, but the judge rejected their request.

It's this simple. Either he's Above the Law or he's not. There are no other choices.

No he isn’t above the law . They have already given him way to much leeway. He will only continue to wreak havoc in every area that he can . And breaking any and all laws possible. Get him to court as soon as possible or they won’t have a case left. He will expose all information he receives. He should be treated like any other criminal especially since he violates every order he is given. He should be locked up until his court date. We the people have had enough of Trumps’s criminal behavior.
