    Kansas Children’s Discovery Center hosts Independence Day parade for kids

    TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center is holding an early Independence Day party Wednesday to help kids celebrate the holiday.

    Children are marching along in the musical parade from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 3. All retired and active duty military personnel and their dependent family members can get in to the Discovery Center for free Wednesday courtesy of Briggs Auto.

    The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center museum will be closed for Independence Day on Thursday, July 4 but will remain open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 3. Regular admission rates apply. You can find the Discovery Center at 4400 SW 10th Avenue in Topeka.
