    Police identify north Topeka shooting victim

    TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – Police are identifying the victim of a recent shooting that happened in north Topeka on Saturday.

    Shooting in North Topeka leads to one person dead

    The Topeka Police Department (TPD) issued an updated press release on Sunday, July 14, identifying the shooting victim as Richard E. Hernandez, 47, of Topeka.

    As a result of the investigation, the TPD has two people in custody for the alleged shooting.

    The investigation is still ongoing. 27 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
