TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – A Topeka man is overcoming adversity, opening a new gym to the fitness community that provides a unique approach to training.

Chaz Coates has been a fitness instructor since 2017. After suffering a medical setback that forced him to take time away from his business, he recently rebuilt his gym in a new location at 2110 SW Randolph Ave.

There, he serves as a fitness coach, but also gives members 24/7 access to his facility.

“This place makes it better for those people that don’t want to go around all of those other people to be more comfortable,” Coates said. “Accomplish even more than they normally would when they went to a gym.”

Coates also plans hold sessions just for kids, as he said it’s vital to teach healthy and correct techniques at a young age.
