Gas leak prompts partial closure of Main Street in Hellertown, utility says
A natural gas leak has led to the partial closure of Main Street in Hellertown, a utility spokesman said. John Mason, a spokesman for UGI Utilities, Inc., confirmed to lehighvalleylive.com the leak initially was called in just after 10 a.m. Thursday when a passer-by smelled a strong odor. Crews continue to work to repair it in the first block of Main Street, near Christ Lutheran Church of Hellertown.
