TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — At least seven occupants in a home on Wall Street are displaced following a fire Saturday night in Torrington.

Officials report that the structure fire that broke out around 8:38 p.m. was difficult to bring under control due to the various construction designs and the weather.

A second-alarm was requested, followed by a third-alarm which brought in mutual aid from Litchfield, Hawinton, Hawington West Side, Bantam, Drakeville, and Torringford departments.

The fire took more than two hours to full knock down. The Red Cross is assisting. The local and State Fire Marshals are investigating the cause.
