CHEYENNE — Cheyenne’s most youthful up-and-coming rodeo stars spent Wednesday morning riding horses, playing with sheep and conquering hand-rocked bulls at the Challenge Rodeo, a small sponsored rodeo experience for kids with disabilities. Local golfers place in BHB shootout
Several local golfers won net or gross recognition at the end of a two-day tournament hosted last weekend by Midway Golf Club and Green Hills Golf Club in Worland. The 24 teams, competing in A and B flights, played an 18-hole round at Midway on Saturday before finishing up with 18 more at Green Hills on Sunday.

Why custom has accentuated their homeliness and prominence by coating them with silver or bronze paint no one knows, but it is high time this practice stopped. The use of such paints seriously reduces heating efficiency. Repaint them to harmonize with room color schemes before starting the heating system.

Panhandle man arrested after shots fired
On Wednesday, July 25, at 6:37 a.m., law enforcement responded to a call at a rural residence approximately one mile east of Mitchell, NE. The reporting party, a female at home with her children, reported that a male was knocking at her back door, that he had a handgun, that he might be on drugs, and she thought he was trying to get into the house. She then reported hearing multiple shots fired, although none were fired into the house. A Scotts Bluff County Deputy was first to arrive on scene. He located the male nearby and took him into custody without incident. The male had a handgun in his possession but did not threaten the Deputy with it.

UPDATE: Man Suspected of Robbing 2 Cheyenne Banks Now in Custody
Cheyenne police are on the hunt for a man believed to be behind two bank robberies in Cheyenne Thursday afternoon. According to a department Facebook post, the man pictured above is suspected of robbing the Jonah Bank of Wyoming at 205 Storey Blvd. and the Western Vista Federal Credit Union at 3207 Sparks Rd.
