Minnesota Twins Starting Pitcher Bailey Ober turned in another great start on Friday at home against the Cleveland Guardians. Ober tossed six scoreless innings while punching out nine as the Minnesota Twins prevailed 4-2. Yesterday's start was his ninth consecutive quality start. A quality start is when a pitcher tosses at least six innings and allows three earned runs or fewer. His streak began on June 16 against the Oakland Athletics and has included appearances against the Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Cleveland Guardians. Ober has an outstanding 1.76 ERA over his last nine starts.

Ober's great streak has led to wins on the diamond as the Minnesota Twins are 7-2 over Ober's last nine starts. He has had a strong 2024 campaign. He is 12-5 this season with a 3.52 ERA.
