Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, & Rohit Sharma Team Up for Charity Auction

In a touching gesture of kindness, India’s cricket legends banded together for a noble cause. Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Rahul Dravid were among those who pledged memorabilia for a special charity auction. This initiative benefits the Vipla Foundation, an out-of-the-box foundation that tries hard to uplift disadvantaged groups across India.

Charity For a Noble Cause

Of these, some special ones include MS Dhoni’s signed bat, from the IPL 2024; Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul’s signed bats from the 2023 World Cup; and Virat Kohli’s signed jersey from the 2019 World Cup. The bidding price for these items begins at Rs 50,000 and goes up to Rs 3,50,000.

The Vipla Foundation has worked tirelessly for the last 36 years towards the upliftment of women and children. Out of their many efforts, establishing a special school for the hearing impaired and intellectually disabled was one of their main endeavors. It is well-equipped with smart classes, speech therapy, and playrooms. The money raised by auctioning will be donated for the development of this facility, hence it helps the poor and unprivileged children.

For Mana Shetty, trustee of Vipla Foundation, this was an important auction. This isn’t just an auction, it’s an opportunity for each one of us to come together and make a difference. It’s so heartwarming to see cricketing legends unite for such a noble cause. They combine to support the Vipla Foundation.

27 items from the lot are being auctioned, which includes a bat autographed by Rahul Dravid from India’s 2011 tour of England, jerseys autographed by R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah, Rajasthan Royals players’ jerseys like those of Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Yuzvendra Chahal, Chennai Super Kings jerseys autographed by Ravindra Jadeja, bats autographed by Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Marcus Stoinis.
