WWE Reveals Plans For Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has now returned to WWE. With the return of Roman Reigns, the reign of Solo Sikoa being the Tribal Chief is over. Roman Reigns made his return when the Solo Sikoa had a match against Cody Rhodes. As the real Tribal Chief moved towards the ring, it became obvious to everyone that he not coming for Cody Rhodes but Solo Sikoa.

Solo Skioa took the throne of Roman Reigns as he was absent, and forced everyone to accept him as the new leader. But Roman Reigns has now returned and has reclaimed his throne in front of millions of people. WWE is looking ahead to the big event, where Roman Reigns can perform and show dominance.

Return of the Tribal Chief

Former Universal Champion Roman Reigns returned at the end of the WWE SmackDown August 9, 2024 episode. He was in a brawl with Solo Sikoa and more action began when Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa joined the fight. The three attempted to bring down Roman and while Tama and Tanga failed they received quite the beating very fast. Reigns speared Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga through the barricade area to make a massive impression on his return.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Jacob Fatu has not been featured on television at the moment because WWE is avoiding approaching him against Roman Reigns. The hope here is to preserve all the essential aspects of Fatu’s identity by ensuring he does not wrestle Reigns because the majority of Reigns’ matches depict his opponents as selling heavily.

Management of WWE for Roman Reigns

Meltzer said WWE wants to wait before having Fatu face Reigns until the timing is better. He mentioned that this is all part of a careful plan. Right now, the spotlight is on Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, and Fatu is expected to join the scene later on. He also made it clear that WWE is trying to have Jacob Fatu vs Roman Reigns later on but for now, they should be far away from each other. “Essentially the deal is they’re basically trying to have Jacob Fatu completely avoid Roman Reigns because everyone has to sell for Roman Reigns and they want to keep Jacob Fatu special by not bumping around for Roman Reigns”

Handling these big events is not a small task so it’s always planned to deal with it separately, as he said “So he’s going to be gone when Roman Reigns is around until whenever the time is right to hook them up. That’s the situation. I can’t say he’s not hurt but everything that’s happening was planned to happen, I can say that, as far as avoiding those two locking up for now until later when they will lock up. I think they want Roman with Solo first and then Jacob Fatu after that.”
