Choose Your Allegiance With New Pacts

Scorched Earth introduces a whole new system of Pacts whereby players pledge allegiance in Hunt Showdown to one of the three most different factions: the Lawful Pact, the Wilderness Pact, or the Demented Pact. According to the pact, some traits would alter drastically and change in-game strategies with added tactical advantages.

Lawful Pact: Hunters aligning with this faction get Traits such as "Peacekeeper," refilling an empty Health Chunk upon looting a dead Hunter's body. The Conditional Trait Effect "Packmule" has hunters finding extra ammo when looting, and "Vigilant" increases the Dark Sight radius by 100%.

Wilderness Pact: This pact prefers a much more organic kind of play. The new trait "Surefoot" allows Hunters to sprint while having primed throwables or when using a First Aid Kit. The "Beastface" trait avoids triggering the animals or breaking branches, and "Frontiersman" gives an extra Pledge Mark for each 30 Event Points collected during a mission.

Demented Pact: For those who prefer being right in the action, Demented Pact offers Traits such as "Berserker," which increases melee damage, or "Adrenaline," which increases speed by 25% while in critical health. The "Ghoul" Trait restores health when damaging a Boss Target or Wild Target.

Through the use of Pacts, hunters will be able to earn Event Pledge Marks with various actions and acquire even more boons and rewards with the collected Marks, which shall become a key strategic decision.
