We live in a vicious world where people look to exploit those with loving hearts.

Developing an authentic prayer life will empower you to fortify yourself against the evils of the day and give you the strength to overcome the emotional stress of learning how you let these people victimize you. Prayer, which is honest communication with God, offers gullible givers a chance to engage in critical self-reflection. Such reflection can evince how your giving practices lack wisdom.

Yes, you must own the fact that you permitted these people to victimize you. Take this moment to forgive yourself. Forgiveness is crucial to your healing. Stop governing yourself like a messiah. You can’t save the world by yourself and can’t be the sole answer to even one person’s challenges and problems. When people experience challenges and problems, more than one person must help them.

When you use your valuable time to do folks’ work for them, how often do they return the favor? Exactly.
