To Make: Melt wax on low heat till it looks transparent. While the wax is hot, generously apply color and your favorite essential oil blends. Dip the wick bottom in the wax and place it in the middle of the container using a wick holder (the author ties their wicks to chopsticks to keep them in place).

Place one side of the pressed flower on the wax (do not submerge). Press and hold it anywhere inside the container until it sticks. Pour the wax into the container and trim the wick. Let it cool, and your candle is ready!

You’ll need: fabric (teddy bear fabric in fall colors). Poly-fiber stuffing. Thread (same color as fabric). Sewing needle. Doll Needle. Craft cord (same color). Green twine/yarn. Measuring tape and scissors. Glue.

To make: Cut your fabric into a rectangle. Sew the long side and firmly tie the short side. You should have a little sack. Fill the sack with stuffing and tie it snugly. Wrap the twine (yarn) tightly around the extra fabric to form the stem. Use a craft cord and doll needle to create the pumpkin shape.

Garlands and Wreaths

You’ll need: leaves, twine (brown), glue, and scissors.

To Make: Cut the twine length of choice. Glue the leaf stems to the twine, keeping two inches between each leaf. Voila! Add little acorns in between the leaves for more character.

Try something unconventional with this yarn tassel wall decor. This piece will leave people in awe when they walk into your home. Here’s what you need:

Yarn in fall colors. Scissors. Book. Yarn needle. Beads (nude or cream-colored).

Procedure: Wrap yarn around the book 30 times. Slip a longer strand of yarn between the wrapped yarn and double-tie at the top to secure the tassel. Tie half an inch away from the fold to create the tassel look. Trim for a clean finish; repeat the process.

Thread the needle and insert it into the small, half-inch space; add one bead. Repeat this process. Add extra beads to each end; tie to secure the beads. Your yarn tassel is ready!
