Bryan Danielson’s Last Stand: A Peaceful Farewell at All In

    2024-08-21

Bryan Danielson discusses what could be his last wrestling fight, and as he does, we see a man at peace with his career and his life. The situation is this: At the AEW ‘All-In’ event this Sunday, He will wrestle Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship; the loser must retire. That has taken him 25 years in the ring and a string of close shaves which include a series of title match failures.

To ponder about his possible exit from in-ring wrestling is not without a personal tinge. In the final stages of his career, the wrestler accepts the possibility of retiring on a high note with his family and fans celebrating a great career he had.

Bryan Danielson’s Peace with Possible Retirement

In an interview with BBC Radio, Bryan Danielson shared his feelings about the potential end of his wrestling career, he said that,

Yeah, I’m very much at peace with it. If I wasn’t at peace with it, we wouldn’t have done that, right? [laughs]. But I also think — I’ve been wrestling for 25 years now at this point. To me, it’s now or nothing as far as winning the AEW World Championship. I came in and I said I was going to kick people’s heads in and I was going to win the AEW World Championship. And I’ve kicked a lot of people’s heads in, but I haven’t won a single title.

Bryan Danielson noted that, although he has accumulated many accomplishments and contributions to wrestling, he has no AEW World Championship win that he seeks.

A Long Journey with Unfulfilled Ambitions

His last major championship reign was in WWE in 2019. WWE writing producer and AEW broadcasting talent Alex Marvez mentioned that the string of losses in title matches he has since his WWE career is 19 in total. Nevertheless, the shown record does not discourage him and he is fully concentrated on the next match.

In a later interview after his forced retirement in 2016, Bryan Danielson said he still hadn’t geared up for retirement and the sudden loss of his professional wrestling career. At the same time, he did not have something to counter-productivity or something else to shift attention to. But now he is at a different point. He believes that it may reach the time of retiring from Wrestling.

All In will be held at the Wembley Stadium in London it is a factor that gives the event a very emotional touch. He assured viewers and listeners that his wife, Brie Garcia, and his children would be there — meaning it would be a family appearance. More significantly, it will be the first time that his son will watch him wrestle performing live.

When he enters this climactic fight, he enters it with a feeling of finality and a preparedness for whatever lies beyond This is something that, at least for now, he can define and decide.

    Conclusion

When Bryan Danielson steps into the ring this Sunday at Wembley Stadium he will do so with the weight of potentially never doing so again in what could be the final fight of his career. Given that it could be his last for the next quarter of a century, the event will be thoroughly emotional with his wife Brie Garcia, and their children watching. He does or does not finally get what he long sought — the AEW World Championship or not.

You have witnessed a career learner’s passion readiness and willingness to be in the next chapter of his life. During this final countdown to his last match, he goes into this final phase of his wrestling career happy, gratified, and ready to leave behind wrestling to be with his family.
