As the English Premier League (EPL) began at Old Trafford on Friday, the leading betting favorites to win the 2024/2025 Premier League Title are Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea.

On Sunday, City striker Erling Haaland scored his 100^th goal for the reigning premier league champions, giving this club a good start for the 2024/25 season.

The London-based club finished second last season, failing to win even after recording the most wins (28) and most goals (91) in their Premier League history. Since 2004, Arsenal are still chasing the title, but competing against a dominant Manchester City can be a difficult task. However, there is a belief around the club that Arsenal might bring more heat to City in the 2024/25 season.

Unlike Manchester United, the Gunners have not signed many players, with only the notable arrival of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna. However, coach Mikel Arteta has expressed an interest in working with a small team. Arsenal will start the title challenge on Saturday against Wolves at home and later travel away to Aston Villa the following week.

The third-favorite team is Liverpool who might struggle to mount a solid challenge after the departure of their coach Klopp. Liverpool will need time to learn the tactics and the strategies of the new coach to fight off with City and Arsenal.

For a 38-game season, it requires consistency and the Anfield-based club might be ready. However, they have world-class players with Mo Salah staying in the club despite interests from Saudi Arabia. Luis Diaz is staying at the club after rumors that Man City was ready to splash close to over $60M to get his signature after losing Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid. Last season, Liverpool won 12 of their first 15 games but struggled in the last 10 games of the season.

Chelsea, PL Title Odds, +1600

Like Manchester United, Chelsea has brought in a number of players this season and last season. In their first match against City, the Blues were unlucky not to get a point, signaling their limitations at the striker position.

Chelsea faces a tough battle as they compete for the premier league title, but Manchester United will also be looking for a top-four stop to get back to the Champions League. Chelsea will likely sign a striker after rumors that they want to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. The team could be ready for a potential title run if the club can get the deal done.

Manchester United is not among the top four favorites to win the premier league this season, but they have signed well in the transfer market. The Reds manager Ten Hag also expressed optimism that the 13-PL title winners can challenge for the league win this season. For big odds of +2,000, United might be another amazing pick if they can avoid injuries that slowed down their season in 2023/24.
