A PlayStation Official Reveals Bloodborne Coming To PS5

Bloodborne is one of the most iconic Soulsborne games developed by FromSoftware. It was launched on March 24, 2015, and remains to this day a PS 4 exclusive. It is the only weapon alongside Demon Souls that is a PS exclusive and has not been released on PC. All other Soulslike games like the Dark Souls trilogy and Elden Ring are available on all platforms. However, a new post by PlayStation reveals that this beloved IP might be coming to PS5 as well as potentially to PC.

Bloodborne: A Gothic Masterpiece

Bloodborne is a Souls game that differs from the classic formula in various ways. The setting of the game features a Gothic Victorian era, in the city of Yharnam which has been infected by monsters born of a blood disease. The players face tough monster bosses and enemies in the classical Souls fashion while having new tools like Blood Vials and Quickstep instead of regular dodge. It is a highly beloved game and many fans consider it to be the best Soulsborne game.

The Italian account of PlayStation recently posted a post relating to the game. This post was uploaded on August 17, 2024, and came with Italian captions which translates to “Scroll to see some of Bloodborne’s most iconic locations! A journey through gothic atmospheres and dark mysteries. Which is your favorite?” Along with these 9 images were posted which showcased some fan-favorite locations.

The thing which caught people’s eyes however was not the post itself but the tags that were used. Beneath the caption, two tags were used. The first was #PS5 and the other was #Bloodborne. This has fans speculating that the game or potentially a remastered version of the game is coming to PS5.

PS is also holding its annual State of Play, and there have been speculations for a while that it will contain some information about this game as it is a highly beloved IP. As the State of Play is approaching closer and now this post has been uploaded on the official PS account, fans are sure that this Gothic masterpiece is coming to PS5.

Why Fans Are Excited?

It has been almost 10 years since Bloodborne was released. For such an old game, it still holds its own. However, it suffers from being locked on 30 fps as well as not available on PC or PlayStation 5. Fans have been asking for years now that a remastered version or at least a PC port of the game should be made available. This game has an extremely addicting gameplay and boss design and players have been begging for a newer and better version of the game. This post is a ray of hope that has fans excited for the upcoming State of Play.
