Sheamus Discusses WWE Clash At The Castle Match

In the behind-the-scenes, Sheamus reveals some information. One of WWE's superstars, and a former world champion, recently discussed his successful career. He appeared on the Pat McAfee show and discussed different aspects. Speaking in the interview, Sheamus noted that the program, and more specifically, their clash for the Intercontinental Championship held at the Clash at the Castle 2022 show. The reality is that all this was his idea. He said he was not planning to participate in it at first, but after telling Triple H the idea for the match, “The Game” was the one to book it.

Gunther Is Special To Sheamus

Sheamus respects Gunther and the match with him. He clarified that the match was not scheduled by WWE or anyone. The reality is that WWE was going to have events in Wales.

"The Gunther match to me is very special. That match wasn’t even supposed to happen. WWE was going to Wales, and at the time I wasn’t doing anything. I talked to Hunter about it, we spitballed back and forth, and then he went and made the match. I pitched that match in Wales. Fair play to him, he made it happen."

However hard Sheamus tried, he failed when he faced Gunther to defend the title title that night. One belt that the Warrior is now not holding is the Intercontinental Championship.

Appreciation from Sheamus

Sheamus loves and appreciates the time that he has spent with Daniel Bryan, Gunther, and Drew McIntyre. "The matches I had with Drew, him, Daniel Bryan back in the day, and then obviously Cesaro, I just love that aspect. Pete (Dunn) the other night too, I think when other talent gets in with me, I think they realize they don’t have to worry about the other guy complaining or moaning about it."

Sheamus also talked about Pete Dunne. Dunne performed very well in the ring and he grabbed lots of attention. He talked about him in the words, "They know they can go full-tilt. For example, Pete Dunne the other night, went in there and brought an intensity we haven’t seen from him before. That’s what made the match. I told Regal this the other day. One of the things that re-set me off in my career after I’ve gone through John Cena and Randy and Hunter and all them."

Final Thoughts
