On August 17th, Cardi was on a Twitter Spaces chat with her fans and revealed that she would soon be releasing her album.
“When I drop this cover, everything is going up that day,” she said, referring to her album cover, “everything is going up that day, not the album of course, but y’all gone see.” Aside from Cardi’s admitted anxiety surrounding her new music, she also claims that another reason for her delay is that she wants “everything at the same time,” expressing that she wants everything available at once. We aren’t sure what “everything” is just yet, but Cardi is keeping tight-lipped about it all. As she gears up to release her newest project, she is also going through a lot in her personal life. Cardi B announced her pregnancy on the same day that the news came out that she filed for divorce from her husband Offset.
