AEW All In 2024 started off the main card with the first match being for the AEW World Trios Titles in a four-way London Ladder match as Pac & Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnolli) defeated The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Killswitch, and Nick Wayne), the Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, and Colten Gunn) and the House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) to become the new AEW World Trios Champions. This match was a lot of fun and a great way to kick off a major show like AEW All in 2024. Let's take a deeper dive into what this means for the titles heading into the future.

What is next for the AEW World Trios Titles?

This was a major way for AEW All In 2024 to get going as the crowd was into the match from the jump. The Patriarchy were not able to retain the AEW World Trio Titles and that is going to be interesting to see how things are going to unfold there, as seemingly they will find a way to blame Killswitch aka Luchasauras for the defeat. The Blackpool Combat Club and Pac holding the AEW World Trios Titles almost certainly means the titles are going to continue to live on AEW Collision and make rare appearances on AEW Dynamite as well.

In terms of a contender for the AEW World Trios Titles, do not be surprised to see the Bang Bang Gang consisting of a returning Jay White compete for the titles right away. There is always a chance that The Acclaimed could also return to the trios division and fight for the AEW World Trios Titles as well.

Why is Pac with the Blackpool Combat Club?

It appears that the Death Triangle is no more as Penta and Ray Fenix have been rumored to join WWE in the near future once their contracts officially expire. That means Pac is not going to be obviously teaming with them and instead will be doing something new. Nothing new for "The Bastard" to be joining a new faction in order to win championship gold. It is great to see that AEW at least still has plans for him despite the members of his trio group looking as if they are ready to depart from All Elite Wrestling.
