After nearly a decade of playing Chris Pratt’s double, Tony McFarr’s death hit hard on May 13, 2024. His mom, Donna, spoke to reporters. She explained that TM passed away in his home. The tragedy happened on a Monday and it shocked the family. Sadly, he was all alone during the tragedy. His body had already begun to decompose when he was found.

According to his mother, her 47-year-old son was healthy. His death was a bitter pill to swallow. As the family grieved, friends like Chris joined in mourning. But it was from complications developed by his heart. This was intensified by alcohol poisoning obtained from drinking problems.

Tony also suffered a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. This meant that the stuntman had breathing problems. Medical studies showed that such was common to lung disease. As it often restricts the free flow of air.

Following examination, Tony’s body possessed 0.29 percent of alcohol concentration. Most States peg the legal BAC limit for driving at 0.08. While he was addicted to alcohol, he also abused it. This proved that Tony drank too much most time.

Apart from being healthy, lively, and professional, he possessed resilience. Tony’s stuntman career kicked off in 2011. He started with hit TV shows like “Bones.” Soon, he bagged other famous contracts. The list included “Teen Wolf,” “Homeland” and “Furious 7.” Tony also starred in “Allegiant,” “Captain America: Civil War,” and “The Accountant.”

In 2015 he landed the Jurassic World deal. That was when he developed his friendship with Chris Pratt. The pair became inseparable. They starred in “Passengers” and “Guardian of the Galaxy Vol.2.” Tony spent his last years performing stunts and handling businesses. He ventured into becoming a restaurateur. The stuntman opened a handful of eateries. A notable one is Reel Bowls.
