CeeDee Lamb Dynatsy Outlook 2024

CeeDee Lamb was drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft at 17th overall. Lamb was the third wide receiver selected in the 202o draft. Over his three seasons at Oklahoma, he had 3,292 yards and 32 touchdowns under Lincoln Riley’s offense. He was drafted to be the complement to Amari Cooper in a high-flying Dallas Cowboys offense. Lamb finished second to Justin Jefferson in rookie receiving yards for the 2020 season.

Even though Lamb fell just short of 1,000 yards in his rookie season, he went on to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in the following three seasons, making the Pro Bowl every year. Since his rookie season, he has claimed the ranks and cemented himself as one of the top fantasy wide receivers in the game.

Is 2023 the Ceiling for CeeDee Lamb?

Lamb had his best season yet in 2023 racking up 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns with a league-leading 135 receptions. He also added 113 rushing yards on 14 attempts with 2 touchdowns. Lamb set career highs in almost every metric in 2023 but can we expect this production to continue going forward?

The Cowboys are keeping the same offensive play-caller in 2024 with the same quarterback and head coach, it’s safe to assume that CeeDee Lamb will continue to produce WR1 numbers for your fantasy team. While it’s yet to be seen if 2023 was his ceiling, his continued chemistry with quarterback Dak Prescott bodes well for Lamb and his fantasy production.

Dynasty Outlook Going Forward

If you’re lucky enough to have CeeDee on your dynasty team then you don’t even think of trading him. A wide receiver rarely sets new career highs every season but that’s what you have in Lamb, a bonafide WR1 for your dynasty team. This offseason Lamb signed a new contract extension for 4 years $136 million with $100 million of that money guaranteed. This keeps Lamb signed until 2029 so it is safe to say he’s staying in Dallas for that time. Until there’s a change in Dallas, whether it be at quarterback, head coach, or offensive play-caller, Lamb should continue to be a top wide receiver for your dynasty team.

If you’re looking to acquire Lamb, now is not the time to do that. Trying to add a player to your team after setting career highs in every metric would be inadvisable as his price tag is likely through the roof right now forcing you to overpay. If your team is in win-now mode and you feel Lamb is the last piece of the puzzle then it might be worth it to trade all your draft picks to grab him, championships are forever.

More than likely you would have to give away key pieces of your roster to acquire Lamb which would handicap you in the long run, hurting your team more than helping you. You never hope for an injury or a down season from any player much less a young superstar like Lamb but those would be the only scenarios in which you would likely be able to trade for Lamb in a dynasty league without losing most of your valuable players.
